Description

The Mix-Ready "THALL" songwriting template is made for low-tuned, brutal riffs.

The incredible Odeholm Drums were the obvious choice. These powerful samples are the perfect foundation for this THALL mix.

I created the bass tone with the split technique: one track for the low-end (heavily compressed and filtered) and one track for the aggressive, clangy character. I used alot of processing this time, to make sure it's the perfect blend of string definition and distortion. This bass tone works even in the lowest tunings (in the demo track it goes down to E0).

I am very proud of the guitar tone in this mix! Heavily inspired by Busters approach, I used many layers of processing to shape the DI before it hits the amp (Neural DSP Gojira X). I combined that with custom Impulse Responses and added even more processing to push these guitars right up in your face. Every note is audible, the guitars growl like a beast and cut through the mix at the same time... Have I mentioned that I'm proud of this tone?

The demo song "Emanate" by ALLT has some amazing synth and post-production. Unfortunately I don't have access to the isolated stems or any info about what synths were used. For this reason, I added some synth layers with the free Vital synth. These presets work great in the mix and you can use them to get creative!

This is my most requested Mix-Ready template. It was a tough one. I am very happy to share it with you and I hope you will enjoy working with it!
