Description
The GetGood Drums "Brutal" drum sample library is the perfect choice if you're a songwriter for aggressive music. Hearing these drums, they reminded me a lot of the raw, aggressive drums that Knocked Loose have in their music. With the help of the incredible Zain MHZ, who covered the song "Everything is Quiet Now", I was able to create a full mix in the style of modern Hardcore bands like Knocked Loose.
The drums are multi-out routed into your DAW. I mainly used the built-in mixer of Kontakt 7, to add some mixing and additional mojo to the individual drum tracks. There is parallel compression, parallel clipping and additional reverb to make these drums cut through any dense wall of guitars.
For bass, you can use a real bass guitar or MIDI bass in this template. The processing is done with stock plugins and the free Growler amp plugin. I prepared the tracks so that you can instantly start recording your bass or write the bass midi.
The guitar sounds are created with the Neural DSP: Archetype Gojira X amp simulation. Aggressive rhythm tones, quads, psycho lead and an ambient clean tone - it's all included. Have fun with the additional FX samples (impacts, reverse effects, snare bombs, etc.) and see how they lift your songs and add the final 5% to a finished track.
